The Boat and the Anchor
This is the story of a boat
Whose helm and hull had weathered
the brutal winds of change
the ruthless pelts of rain
And continues its journey in an aimless toneless drift.
The boat never had an anchor
Never had one of those advanced roaring motor machines
Never had oars
nor a rope that one can lead it back to shore
it was just there,
floating in the open seas
Then one day someone found her
the vastest of waters and yet he chanced upon her
She sailed along with him, the One with the anchor
And the boat was happy
for it never had to succumb to the ceaseless waves again
she had found what she needed
she was contented.
But nothing lasts forever;
the Anchor was gone not soon after.
Taken away by cruel contemptuous circumstances
beauty robbed away by time
and the boat was on its own again
Drifting without clear direction
while searching for reasons to continue on
a boat without an anchor
a girl without a purpose
Whose helm and hull had weathered
the brutal winds of change
the ruthless pelts of rain
And continues its journey in an aimless toneless drift.
The boat never had an anchor
Never had one of those advanced roaring motor machines

Drifting without clear direction
while searching for reasons to continue on
a boat without an anchor
a girl without a purpose
