Eco Camp

Moved around as normally as I could today. Felt like Robocop's half-sister with stiffy joints and a blank expressionless face. Last night during unpacking discovered a few more injuries. Including one on my big fat bum. Must have gotten it when I fell into a hole during the obstacles course.

Camp was AWESOMEEEEEEE. Terrific. 11 outta 10. Never laughed so hard and so long in my life.. Especially during the obstacle course. When the video's out, I'd post it here for all to view.

Well I was the unofficial target of the unforgiving viewcam. SO MANY CANDID GOOFY SHOTS!! Sigh.. there goes my image. We went Kluang cos of flooding at Kota Tinggi. Had the blessed fortune to stay at the largest and one-and-only organic rice paddy farm in Malaysia. WAY COOL... Imagine no high-rise buildings, no concrete, no cars (not much anyway). Paths are au naturale earth and stuff. No pesticides nor preservatives. The place's just thriving on Mother Nature's brilliant work plan of the food cycle >> Ducks to eat the insects that eat the wheat, and in return their shit is used for fertilizers. Smart eh? What goes around comes around. Grins.

Went jungle walk.. ate true-blue organic meals.. bonded with a super adorable blue-eyed kitten who liked to throttle my toes and play hide & seek using my legs.. munched on jungle grass and leaves.. saw leeches for the first time.. The place just smacks of wholesome goodness!

Hmm.. most memorable would be the obstacle course we had to conquer. Outta 11 we had to make it thru 8.. and we're split into two teams with one hour to complete the mission. Not easy ok.. especially the first one was the tarzan swing. Damn...... had my legs carried up by my CTO n deputy CTO can?? Haha.. Coz first time I attempted my hand slipped and they decided to improvise. Second time carried my legs up so I won't kenna the water. In the end headed STRAIGHT into the water. THe other team laughed like mad. My team laughed like mad. Even I also laughed and spluttered my way up the bank. Dr Kwok (our teambuilding coach and CTO of ST Engineering) and the other nature guides all laughed till their stomachs ached.

Some really sweet moments were the teamwork during obstacle course and heart-to-heart talks during the Action Learning Set. Very touched by the sincerity and dedication all of us have for the company. It's like.. we really want to help, but we've to "defog" the problem one by one first. I voiced out some of the problems in the company, and I'm glad I did. No regrets.

Got "romantic" moments too. First time rafted by a guy (well two la, strictly speaking) But the other one's married so only focus on the other one. Haha.. Like those old-time movies lidat >> bamboo raft drifting through the water (somemore its a lotus pond), strong young man standing at the back of the raft steering it, young lady seated in the middle of the raft. Blue skies and white clouds all around.. AAAhhhhhh..... *melt already* Wahaha.. Coincidentally young man and young lady sat/were near each other most times during the camp. LOL.. Coincidence, I stress again.

I'll post pictures and video here once they're ready. Gotta catch a shower and rest for tomorrow..
